Developing new products
The ambitious product development goal of Muehlmeier is to have at least 50% ECO-optimized products in the Bra Cups collection for the Lingerie, Swim- and Activewear markets by 2025. And the company lives up to its innovative claim and its feeling of responsibility for Mother Earth. On the occasion of the IFL Fair in Paris in July 2019, Muehlmeier has introduced the new sustainable product concept, M-TEC® ECO-Optimized Bra Cups, also responding to the aspiration of the new ecological market.
Changing from linear thinking, to circular lingerie & swim wear
We are living and working in a decade, which needs this clear focus of our industry, on changing towards positive and sustainable development. Our world faces big natural challenges with no turning back, like climate change and loss of biodiversity, on which each of us needs to continuously answer still until 2030. Hence the fashion-sector, with its huge material global input, needs answers and innovation for sustainability now. lt is getting more urgent day by day.
The MUEHLMEIER product development is centered around sustainability in combination with the main aspiration of our brand: the wellbeing of women. We believe in circular fashion, where Bras and Bikinis can be recycled in a technical or biological circle.
Step by step we get better and improve the environmental footprint of our products. Since we are only one part of the bra, we want to work close with our industrial partners, to find the right way together. Let’s talk about your way and find the right solutions, "make-ups" and materials.
Improve and optimize
It is one thing to develop eco-friendly products, it is another to improve the value chain taking sustainability aspects into account. Muehlmeier was able to reorganise the production and optimize working processes in order to launch more effective, humane and environmentally-friendly production, and to save energy and resources. The production cycles have been designed with environmental processes in mind – step by step from development through to delivery to the customer.
For all recycled materials, MUEHLMEIER uses GRS certified material/fabric.
